Quote # 5

"1.2 million children are kidnapped, sold or smuggled each year"(Tyler)
Child trafficking touches every country and countless industries worldwide. There are many individuals and organizations working globally to combat this problem. It may take time before it is fully realized just how huge this issue is. We need to figure out a way to solve this problem. I believe that this quote can show people that there are kids everywhere that need help. Everyone needs to fight together and put these traffickers in jail for doing this to kids, teenagers, and even adults.

Quote # 4

“Children while being sold into trafficking are molested, physically, sexually, abused by their employers and in some cases resold” (Furphy).
Sex trafficking is nothing less than slavery. When an offender takes a girl or boy against their will and forces them to engage in prostitution, that offender has stolen his or her freedom and dignity. A number of children get trafficked both for sex and for other labor purposes within the country and across borders. I feel so bad for these kids. I thought with picking this quote that this would be a good way to get peoples attention and say listen this is what is happening to kids in Africa and all over the world. We need to start doing something to protect these kids form these horrible traffickers that take advantage of them.

Quote # 3

“buying a three-year-old Albanian boy, paying $6,000 to the trafficking gang that specialized in underage merchandise”(Tyler). The boy had been traded for a “colored TV by his own father” (Tyler).

When I read this I was very sad to hear that his own father would do that to his own son. Aren’t you suppose to love, protect, and take care of your child even if you are struggling. If I was ever put into that kind of situation I know that I would never give up my child. It truly breaks my heart that kids have to go through this and are not being treated right. This fits into my paper because it gives people an idea on what some parents do to their kids. I mean the boy probably had no idea what was going on. I mean when people start to read about what parent trade their kids for it is truly sad.

Quote # 2

"Through classes in villages... children learn about abuse, traffickers' scams, and their nights as children"

The reason why i picked this quote is because i thought i was a great way to start preventing child trafficking. To prevent children from being leaving their villages and entering conditions of slavery individuals within the village must be made knowledgeable of human trafficking. It is vital that parents are aware of human trafficking. These parents wish their children a better life, and are unaware their children may be at risk of being trafficked for forced labor and other forms of exploitation. Distributing information to children and their parents about the abuse inflicted on children who are trafficked and the risk that children who migrate or are sent away from home to work or earn money for others will be trafficked. It fits into my paper because it is ways to start preventing child trafficking.

Quote #1

“The blue campaign is also launching awareness and training materials for the federal acquisition workforce, first responders and airline employees, to help increase awareness about the indicators of human trafficking." (Oriola)
The reason why I picked this quote is because I think that it is a good idea for people to start raising awareness. This can make people start donating money to organizations so they can make a safer place for these kids. Also, I thought it was good that they had a banquet already started so people can start donating and helping these kids in Africa. If we can host a benefit the people can hear what kids go through and be able to donate money to help kids to give them a safe place. As soon as people start realizing that children are in danger they can start saving these kids’ lives just by donating some money. With money being donated they can raise the money so they can build a place in Africa were kids can go and be safe. It can be where they can play during the day or a place for them to hang out if they don’t have anywhere else to go.
